MEGAWATI Hangestri Pertiwi, nicknamed Megatron by Indonesian volleyball fans, said goodbye to the team she played for, Red Sparks, after failing to reach the final of the 2023/2024 Korean Volleyball League.
Red Sparks failed to advance to the final after losing to Pink Spiders in the playoffs. Pink Spiders won two of the three matches, ending Megawati and her friends’ dream of being in the final.
After defeating Red Spark, the Pink Spiders will face Hillstate who is waiting for them in the final of the Korean Volleyball League. Hillstate itself is at the top of the standings in the regular round of the Korean Volleyball League.
After the defeat, via his Instagram account, this volleyball player from Jember said goodbye to his colleagues at Red Sparks after a sensational performance throughout the season in the Korean Volleyball League.

Not only in stories, Megawati also uploaded video reels containing photos with her colleagues at Red Spark. “Words can’t explain it. I just want to say I really love you, my sisters. See you again. Thank you,” as written in the caption

Even though this is her debut season in the Korean Volleyball League, V-League, Megawati’s achievements are very impressive. He looked stunning and is a mainstay as an opposite hitter by contributing a total of 797 points this season.
He also achieved some history while with the Red Sparks, such as launching 11 services in a row and bringing this team into the playoffs after 7 years of never entering.
For your information, Red Sparks will come to Jakarta on Saturday (20/4). So even though they failed to advance to the final and have said goodbye, Indonesian volleyball fans can still see Megawati defending Red Spark against Indonesia All Star at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, later.
Actually, Megawati’s fate at Red Spark has not been confirmed. Megawati has the potential to return to defend the Red Sparks if her contract extension occurs.
