According to revelations from the very serious Washington Post, this 40-year-old mother, a nurse by profession, is visible in several pornographic videos with her husband. Images broadcast via webcam on the site Chaturbate, a pornographic site. She thus asked for money (“tips”) from Internet users in exchange for specific sexual acts. Screenshots were also sent to the US news agency AP.
Faced with the scandal in this rather conservative southern state, the main person reacted on Monday by publishing a press release in which she denounced a violation of the law and of her private life. She also called the disclosure of these videos the “worst gutter politics.”
“This will not intimidate me or silence me. My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they are willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there is no line they won’t cross to silence women when they express themselves,” she denounced. Exposing these videos “aims to humiliate me and my family,” she continued.

According to the tabloid New York Post, the candidate had more than 5,770 “followers” on the Chaturbate site. She would have assured them of raising money “for a good cause”.
His lawyer, Daniel P. Watkins, clarified that the sharing of these videos also constituted a violation of Virginia’s law on “revenge porn”, pointing the finger at the Republican camp.
“I’m sure this is a difficult time for Susanna and her family, and I remain focused on my campaign,” responded her Republican opponent David Owen, a businessman.
A Democratic senator from Virginia immediately came to defend Ms. Gibson. “We are now going to make this day the most important fundraiser of his campaign,” promised L. Louise Lucas, accusing Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin’s team of leaking these videos.
