WKÖ division chairwoman welcomes the fact that the lump sum can now be applied for – implementation of the energy cost subsidy II must follow quickly
Vienna (OTS) – “The energy costs put many of the approximately 230,000 mainly small and medium-sized companies in the trades and crafts in an existentially challenging situation,” says Renate Scheichelbauer-Schuster, Chairwoman of the Trades and Crafts Division in the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKÖ): “As of today, the urgently awaited application for the energy cost flat rate. That will provide real support to our operations that fall within that revenue threshold.”
This initiative was created to support businesses during this challenging time and alleviate the financial burden of energy costs. Small and micro-enterprises with annual sales for the 2022 calendar year of between EUR 10,000 and EUR 400,000 are eligible. The amount of the energy fee varies depending on the industry and the annual turnover of the company and is between 110 euros and 2,475 euros. According to the ministry, the payment should be made within a few days of the application being submitted and can be applied for afterwards for the year 2022.
The mobile phone signature and the ÖNACE code are required for the online application (details on this www.energiekostenpauschale.at).
According to Scheichelbauer-Schuster, the now successful implementation of the long-awaited application option for the energy cost allowance must be followed by another measure: “The energy cost subsidy II has also been promised for a long time. It is high time to implement Energy Cost Subsidy II, so that our companies’ long wait is over here too,” said the federal division chairwoman. (PWK250/DFS)
