School vaccination catch-up for children aged 4 to 8 – CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches

Indeed, the vaccination of kindergarten students, as well as those of 1re and the 2e primary year who have not benefited from the vaccination usually administered around 4-6 years of age, takes place in certain mass vaccination sites set up for COVID-19 vaccination. This transitional measure is intended to complement the CLSC offer.

These sites are well suited to receive you and offer the required vaccines to your child. Please be aware that no COVID-19 vaccines will be administered during school remedial clinics.

Vaccines to receive :

  • 1 dose of varicella vaccine;
  • 1 dose of vaccine againsthas diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus and poliomyelitis.

In addition, during this vaccination, the nurse will analyze whether other vaccines are missing.

How to make an appointment?

Parents are responsible for making an appointment for their child and for traveling to obtain the vaccination.
*If you already have an appointment at the CLSC and would rather make an appointment at a mass vaccination site, we ask that you cancel the appointment at the CLSC.
