EA fixed point of the Atzenbrugg Schubertiads is the small but fine concert “Organ meets folk music” in the castle chapel.

As part of the Schubertiaden in Atzenbrugg, Volkskultur Lower Austria presented the 14th concert “Organ meets Folk Music” together with the market town. There was a very special atmosphere in the castle chapel, which was sold out to the last seat, and the guests were thrilled by the artists’ performances. The Knöpfl family singing from Atzenbrugg was able to celebrate its 35th anniversary as a family trio at this concert. The three generations of Knöpfls from one family sang songs about money, about people and about love. The Ensemble Pfiffikus from Leobendorf entertained the guests with polka, waltz and boarische and Sarah Maria Pilwax from Hollabrunn brought the organ with compositions by Franz Schubert, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Girolamo Frescobaldi to sound. Among the numerous guests was the manager of folk culture Manuela Göllregional representative for folk culture Angelika KeiblingerMayor Beate JilchVice Mayor Franz Buchbergercultural advisor Edith Mandl as well as descendants of the composer Hermann Leopold. After the successful concert, the guests chatted over a glass of Atzenbrugg castle wine, served by the winemakers Siegfried Resch and Matthias Altmann.
