Schwab after a great final lap 26th in La Quinta

With an excellent 65 round of seven under par, Matthias Schwab on Sunday (local time) at the eight million US dollar (approx. 7.36 million euro) PGA tournament in La Quinta, California on the final day from 49th Rank improved to tied 26th (270 strokes total).

“I played good golf on day one and day four. The path we have taken with a new swing trainer, caddy and physio works. More good results are to come. I’m taking a break next week and then it’s back to Pebble Beach, California,” Schwab said. On the second and third rounds, he had played a 71 and a 68, respectively.

The Spaniard Jon Rahm won La Quinta with 261 strokes ahead of the American Davis Thompson (262 strokes). Chris Kirk and Xander Schauffele (both USA) shared third place with 263 strokes each.
