Difficult to manage children’s screen time. When a crisis hits, it can be tempting to calm things down with a tablet or phone. Except that in the long term, this way of doing things risks harming their ability to manage emotions, concludes a new study from the University of Sherbrooke.

Learning to manage your emotions is a skill fundamental, notes the holder of the Canada Research Chair in the use of digital media by children, who led the research team behind this study. What can we do as a parent to ensure that our child develops his ability to manage his emotions? Professor Caroline Fitzpatrick gives us some leads.
