The Barrows and Bristol statement

Mr. Avellone has never abused any of us“, can be read in the writing. “We have no record of him sexually abusing any women.. We are not aware of Mr. Avellone’s inappropriate use of corporate funds. Anything we have previously said or written about Mr Avellone saying otherwise was not intended.”

We wanted to support women in the industry. In doing so, our words have been misconstrued, suggesting allegations of misconduct that we did not intend to express. We want the safety of women, minorities, LGBTQIA+ people, and any other community that has been persecuted in the gaming industry.”

We believe that Mr. Avellone shares the desire to protect these communities. We believe he deserves to fully return to the industry and we support him in this venture.”

For his part, Avellone has publicly called for the privacy of Barrows and Bristol to be respected and that he appreciates the commitment of both to try to solve the problems that exist in the video game industry.
