Season 6 for Atlanta Medical on FOX

The Resident continues with its sixth season (c) FOX

The decision had not yet been made for FOX’s upfronts presentation. Shortly thereafter, it is now certain. The medical series The Resident (known locally as Atlanta Medical) continues and is getting a sixth season.

For a short time, The Resident was considered a problem child because it was not possible to announce renewal news until FOX’s Upfronts presentation on Monday. Only a short time later there is good news: The sixth season is coming, like TVLine reports.

An average of five million viewers watch weekly and the rating is 0.7 (Live+7-Day). Of the six drama series, it ranks second behind 9-1-1 in this category and fourth in total viewership. Looking at Live+Same Day viewership, the fifth season sits at 3.12 million viewers with an audience rating of 0.43.

The fans of the series have recently had to accept some changes. Emily VanCamp has left Nic Nevin after four seasons. Her character died after a car accident. She returned in flashback sequences in the season finale, which aired May 17.

The cast includes Matt Czuchry as Conrad Hawkins, Manish Dayal as Devon Pravesh, Bruce Greenwood as Randolph Bell, Jane Leeves as Kit Voss, Malcolm-Jamal Warner as AJ Austin, Jessica Lucas as Billie Sutton and Anuja Joshi as Leela Devi.

In Germany, the hospital series runs under the title “Atlanta Medical‘ on ProSieben on free TV. Meanwhile, you can watch her stream on Disney+. There are currently four seasons online.
