Sebastian Vettel (Aston Martin F1) finished 6th in the 2022 F1 Round 8 Azerbaijan Grand Prix final.
Sebastian Vettel, who passed Yuki Tsunoda by starting with medium tires from the 9th grid, adopted a one-stop strategy. When he overtook Esteban Ocon, he couldn’t turn the corner and went out to escape, dropping two places.
Even so, he regained his position from Esteban Ocon in the second half, and Yuki Tsunoda was fortunate enough to retreat due to trouble, and finished in 6th place, which was the best result of the season.

“The team made a great pit stop and was able to jump in front of Lewis (Hamilton). After that, he overtook Esteban (Ocon) but thought he would be more in battle for that position. So I went out to escape and lost time. Without that incident, I think I could have fought for 5th place. Still, this is a great result. “
