Sebastián Villa, Colombian soccer player of Boca Juniors, was formally charged in the case that investigates him for alleged sexual abuse of a young Argentine woman, with identity reserved for security reasons, in June of last year.
According to the press of that country, this Thursday the player was notified by the prosecutor Vanesa González of Buenos Aires of the imputation for the crime of sexual abuse. The last friday, the victim had denounced Villa for assault and attempted murderin events that allegedly occurred in mid-2021.
“The defendant began to abuse me, hitting me a few times, and covering my mouth with his hand.moment in which I made some scratches as a result of wanting to get out of that situation”, the young woman recounted in her accusation. The complaint was ratified at the beginning of this week and the corresponding prosecutor prohibited Villa from leaving the country.
During these days, those close to the victim gave their testimony and presented evidence. This Friday the doctor from the Penna Hospital who treated the victim after what happened is summoned to give her statement. It is also not identified for security.
For his part, the woman’s lawyer, Roberto Castillo, said in dialogue with Urbana Play that the Colombian “He is in a position to be called to make an investigative statement. Due to the expectation of punishment and the procedural risk that exists, I consider that It would not be unreasonable to think that a preventive detention would be issued”.

The recent complaint was the second against the soccer player in Argentina. In 2020, his ex-partner, Daniela Cortés publicly accused him of gender violence.
