It has been reported that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve a BTC (Bitcoin) spot ETF on January 2, 2024 (local time).

On December 23 (local time), Archyde.com reported that “the SEC may approve Bitcoin spot ETFs applied by asset managers on the first business day of 2024 (January 2),” after attending a recent meeting with SEC officials. Citing an anonymous source reported.

This is significant because it means that Bitcoin spot ETFs could be approved en masse in January next year, as experts predicted.

The media reported, “The SEC held a meeting with the seven asset management companies that applied for this ETF on December 21st and requested two of them to submit amendments by December 29th.”

He also said, “If the two companies do not submit amendments by December 29, they will not be included in the approval review list in January of next year.”

He added, “It is known that Blackrock, Grayscale, Arc Invest, and 21 Shares also attended this meeting.”

The SEC must review the Bitcoin spot ETF submitted jointly by ArkInvest and 21Shares by January 10th. do.

Afterwards, until January 15th, we plan to review Bitcoin spot ETF applications from Blackrock, Wisdom Tree, and Van Eck.

Except for the Bitcoin spot ETF applied by ArkInvest and 21Shares, there is still room for the SEC to extend approval once more.
