Second edition of Fitelven inaugurated at the Poliedro

The second edition of the International Telecommunications Fair (Fitelven), began this Wednesday 18th and will run until September 21st in the dome of the Poliedro de Caracas.

The main service providers, manufacturers and teleoperators take part in the event, which is the most important fair in the country. There are more than 200 stands of national and international exhibitors, competitions, talks and conferences.

The Vice President of the Sector for Works and Services, and Director of the National Telecommunications Commission of Venezuela (CONATEL) Mr. Jorge Eliecer Márquez, During the opening to the public, he stressed that this exhibition will make the latest advances in technology and innovations available to visitors.

He pointed out that the telecommunications sector has been growing steadily to the point of reaching 11.6 terabytes in national consumption as part of a program that has allowed all social classes and ages to enjoy the Internet.

He stressed that Venezuela is a market where public and private sectors, and national and international capital compete.

He announced that he will present 5G technology as a point of reference to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, which will allow for a greater expansion of services for consumers.
