What began in December 1953 with a certain Marilyn Monroe on the cover was to lay the foundation for a worldwide empire with a magazine that at its peak had a circulation of seven million and was distributed in dozens of countries with its own editions: Hugh Hefner’s “Playboy”, one of the most famous brands in the world. A controversial universe that on the one hand wanted to make people believe they were fighting once morest prudery and for women’s self-determination, and on the other hand degraded its protagonists to sex objects and put bunny ears on them.
