An emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council was held in which the situation in the Middle East was considered after the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh.
Iran called on the Security Council to condemn and impose sanctions on the Israeli attack. The Iranian delegate said that Tehran has always shown restraint but has the right to respond, Israel cannot commit this crime without American intelligence support.
He said that no one can be allowed to violate international laws, Israel is violating international laws, the killing of Ismail Haniyeh is another proof of Israeli terrorism.
The Palestinian delegate said the Security Council had failed in its duty to impose a ceasefire, Israel is allowed to fight this war without any restrictions or consequences, violence and terrorism are the main and only currency of Israel.
The Lebanese delegate said Israel’s aggression is reaching our capital Beirut, the Lebanese government and people do not want war with Israel.
The Israeli ambassador said that the Security Council imposed sanctions on Iran for supporting regional terrorism, we will defend ourselves, we will respond with force to those who harm us.
The Chinese ambassador said that the failure of the Gaza ceasefire is the cause of tension in the region. The British delegate said that peace should be achieved through negotiations and not through war.
