A “semi-conscious” man was found Sunday morning near the shore of the St. Lawrence River at the height of Le Havre Park, in Saint-Lambert, on the South Shore of Montreal.
The man was first seen in the waves around 10:40 a.m.
When help arrived, “cardio-respiratory resuscitation maneuvers were undertaken on the sexagenarian and he was transported to a hospital center,” said the Longueuil agglomeration police department.
Investigators and members of the forensic identification service were sent to the scene to try to find out more about the circumstances surrounding this event.
