In Group A three quite different oppositions since if Spain was the clear favorite and ensured its rank against valiant but limited Bulgarians, Turkey struggled to the power of a thousand to do the same against Montenegro, Cedi Osman’s teammates waiting for a last contentious action to grab a victory which will undoubtedly be very precious to them. In the last game of the Group, the one which, we are not going to hide, did not excite us the least in the world, the Belgians scratched an oh so precious victory at the Georgian host. Sandro Mamukelashvili dominated, Goga Bitadze was injured, and in the end it was the very famous Jonathan Tabu who gave the victory to the Belgians with an incredibly clutch shot in extra time.

In Group B, the one that – inevitably – interests us the most as proud Gauls, Bosnia first dismissed Hungary without really sparking, before THE match of the day took place, a rather crazy duel between Applied Lithuanians and excited Slovenes. The crime was almost perfect for Domantas Sabonis and his family, but in the end a huge match from Goran Dragic and a masterfully managed money time by Luka Doncic and Mike Tobey allowed the defending champions to get well on the first night. Quite the opposite of France finally which, after having witnessed the withdrawal of shirt of Dirk Nowitzki, sank against Germany despite the career high in selection of the very lonely Guerschon Yabusele. Maodo Lo, Neils Giffey and Johannes Thiemann were too strong for the Blues while Donovan Mitchell was traded on the side of Cleveland, do what you want with this sentence but mandatory rebound for EDF on Saturday against … Lithuania.
