Sendvalu suspends all remittances 2024-03-05 07:54:33

Approximately a month ago, the platform for sending remittances to Cuba, Sendvalu, announced the reopening of one of its services.

This involves sending euros in cash to the capital of Cuba, Havana, a highly demanded service in times when the exchange rate of this currency in the island’s informal market is close to 320 Cuban pesos.

However, in the last few hours Cuba no longer appears among the destinations with the possibility of sending money.

β€œAt the moment our money transactions to Cuba are suspended.

We regret the inconvenience this may cause,” they told one of our editors.

The agency joins Western Union and Small World, which have suspended their remittance shipments to Cuba, although the latter has already resumed them.

In this case, the impact is much more sensitive since this agency offered the delivery of dollars and euros in cash in Cuba, a modality that other money sending platforms do not provide.

What services does Sendvalu offer for Cuba at the moment?

1- The Gift cards and Mobile top ups service: allows you to send a Gift Card so that your beneficiary can receive it at their home or buy food and hygiene at sites established for this. All the details in this link:

2- Send mobile recharges to Cuba as data volumes or free minutes. More information in this page.

Where can you send money to Cuba right now?

Taking into account that the websites for remittances to Cuba from the United States have temporarily suspended shipments, some available options are:
