Senegal: “Astou Sokhna” case the Senegalese health system in question

The first instance trial in the Sokhna case ended last night. Six midwives are being prosecuted for failing to assist a person in danger after the death on April 1 of a young woman in her thirties, after hours of suffering. A year in prison, including one month in prison, was requested against four midwives; release for 2 others.
