Senegal faces England with a “sick” coach

Senegal suffered a setback during its preparations for its upcoming match, Sunday, against England in the final price of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after its coach, Aliou Cisse, suffered a health problem, but he is expected to be with his players in the confrontation at Al-Bayt Stadium.

And his French assistant, Reggie Bogart, said during a press conference that Cisse was unable to lead the exercises on Friday and may not be present in the last training session on Saturday.

He added: We took over the tasks on Friday and he gave us instructions and what we have to do. We hope that it will be Saturday afternoon on the field, but we are confident that tomorrow evening, Sunday at ten in the evening, he will be the one who leads the team.

Bogart did not specify Cissé’s disease, saying only: a slight fever, so we’re wary.

Senegal qualified for the round of 16 for only the second time in its history, by defeating Ecuador in the last match of Group A, to snatch second place behind the Netherlands.
