Senegal: the mangrove oyster, a pearl to cultivate

In Senegal, mangroves are the main habitat of oysters. The culture of this mollusc remains an untapped potential in this country which nevertheless dreams of modern, productive and sustainable oyster farming. For now, the activity is still largely informal and centered on traditional picking.
