Asunción, IP Agency.- This Wednesday the 24th, older adults, veterans and heirs of veterans of the Chaco War and other State pensioners will receive their social benefits corresponding to April, according to the payment schedule of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
The economic portfolio will disburse some G. 221,374 million, resources that will be available at ATMs authorized by the National Development Bank (BNF) throughout the country.
At the end of the first quarter of the year, the Directorate of Non-Contributory Pensions (DPNC) registered a total of 316,630 pensioners, of which 311,167 are active beneficiaries of the Food Pension Program for the Elderly, aimed at people over 65 years of age, in situation of social vulnerability.
5 veterans of the Chaco War are part of the non-contributory sector; 4,736 heirs of veterans; 302 beneficiaries of ex gratia pensions; and 420 heirs of police and military personnel who died in the line of duty.
These programs are administered by the General Directorate of Non-Contributory Pensions (DGPNC), dependent on the Vice Ministry of Financial Administration of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).
