A police commission went to the house to verify a complaint, for which they verified that the adolescent was 27 weeks pregnant.
A 70-year-old citizen was taken into police custody, following it was proven his participation in the sexual abuse of his granddaughter, a 14-year-old teenager.
A commission of agents attached to the Coloncito Police Coordination Center, in Politáchira, carried out the arrest, according to Wilman Rivera Torres, commissioner of the police force.
According to one version, the residents of the sector gave the voice of the alert to the authorities, who denounced the subject at the headquarters of the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (Cpnna) of the Pan-American municipality.
Then, officials moved accompanied by a police commission to the sector where the victim lived with the man.
Once at the residence, they were attended by the adolescent with approximately 27 weeks of gestation.
A medical, forensic and psychological examination was immediately carried out, which confirmed the mistreatment suffered by the septuagenarian.
The man threatened her so that she would pretend that it was one of her classmates who got her pregnant and left for Colombia.
The suspect is under arrest and was placed under the order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
