Advantech (TWSE: 2395), an Industrial IoT (Internet of Things) company, celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2023. To celebrate, the company held its first road cycling event last May 18th in Taipei , capital of Taiwan, when the celebrations of its fortieth anniversary were “given the start”.
The company has also hosted employee wellness programs, children’s painting competitions, global road cycling events and worldwide partner conferences. Also to commemorate the global company’s 40th anniversary, Advantech organized two events in Brazil, one of which was the Advantech Solution Forum, on May 11th, which provided an environment for networking and the development of new businesses, and the following day, the 12th May, they held the Cycling Day, bringing together employees and partners.
According to KC Liu, founder and president of Advantech, in celebrating its 40th anniversary, Advantech looks forward to thanking the colleagues and partners who have been with the company throughout. “With the completion of the third phase of the Advantech AIoT Co-Creation Campus, Advantech will be able to wholeheartedly promote the IoT industry and develop various green value chains,” says Liu.
According to the president, the company should invest efforts to become “the best and most attractive employer for IoT talent”. In addition, the venture “will cultivate new talent through multiple channels to benefit not only the company itself, but also its co-creation partners.”
KC also stated that he is determined to carry out succession planning starting this year. “By promoting the three visions of “green operations and sustainable development”, “AIoT promotion” and “community enrichment”, Advantech will be able to implement altruistic mutual benefits that enable a smart and sustainable planet and create a sustainable enterprise for all the interested parties.
Advantech has allocated a budget of US$1,000 (about R$5,036.70) per person for employees who participate in local activities with the aim of increasing the happiness experience of employees and their families.
Children’s painting contests and road cycling
Children from 12 countries joined the art competition, including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, China and Taiwan. Hundreds of artworks have already been collected in the preliminary rounds.
The competition invited experts from all walks of life to serve as judges, including: children’s writer Shu-fen Wang, sound designer and artist Akibo Lee, Museum of World Religions director Yu-Chuan Ma, and papercut artist Shih-Yi Yang. The top five will receive rewards, in addition to having their work displayed in offices around the world.
Road cycling, in turn, will be held in more than 40 cities around the world. It is estimated that more than 4,000 Advantech colleagues and partners will attend the events.
Worldwide Partner Conferences
Starting in the second half of 2023, three global partner conferences will be held at the newly completed IoT Co-creation Campus, including a Chinese session from July 27-28, and an English session from October 26-28 and from November 30th to December 2nd.
Additionally, a worldwide partner conference will be held in Suzhou, China in September, where the company intends to share the latest technology trends and IoT insights with its global partners and customers.
