– We have a serious accident with at least two people injured, the road is blocked off and an ambulance helicopter is on its way, says Ingrid Almgren, on-duty rescue manager at Samhällsskydd mellersta Skaraborg.
Two people have been taken to hospital following the accident that occurred on road 26 at the height of Vättak, outside Tidaholm. The road was initially blocked in both directions, but traffic was allowed to open in one lane shortly following 3 p.m. It is regarding a side collision with two passenger cars at an intersection. A total of three people were in the cars, of which two have been taken to hospital and the third has died.
The police are now investigating the accident as negligence in traffic.
