In Niel, near Antwerp, a 7-year-old child was seriously injured when she fell from an apartment on Tuesday followingnoon, local police in the Rupel area announced. The girl was transported to the Antwerp University Hospital in Edegem, she is currently in critical condition.
The child reportedly fell from a window on the first floor of a building on rue de Maten.
Exactly how this accident might have happened is still under investigation and has yet to be determined.
