The four ÖSV women and three of the four ÖSV men made it into the top 16 finals at the parallel world championships for snowboarders in Rogla (Slovenia) (2.45 p.m., live on ORF 1). The best were giant slalom bronze medalist Julia Dujmovits in eighth and Andreas Prommegger in third. The best times were set by PGS Vice World Champion Sofia Nadyrschina and Andrei Sobolew from the Russian Ski Federation, who placed third on Monday.
Dujmovits from Burgenland was 1.68 seconds behind after two qualifying runs, Daniela Ulbing was eleventh (+ 2.29), Claudia Riegler 13th (2.44) and Sabine Schöffmann 16th (2.69). Salzburg’s Prommegger was 0.72 seconds short of the men, Alexander Payer was fifth (+ 0.87) and Benjamin Karl Zwölfter (1.29). Lukas Mathies finished 27th in the qualification (2.32).
