The US Department of Public Safety said in a series of tweets on Sunday that two people were killed and up to 11 others were injured in a shooting during a party in the East Alley neighborhood.
The authorities stated that up to ten people with gunshot wounds were receiving treatment in the region’s hospitals before the numbers were updated with the arrival of another injured person to a local hospital, but the condition of the injured was not yet known.
An investigation by the authorities revealed that as many as 50 shots were fired inside a rental property where nearly 200 people had gathered for a large party.
The shooting prompted some guests to jump out of windows, causing injuries such as fractures and lacerations, authorities said, adding that several other shots were fired outside the house.
The authorities did not disclose any details regarding the suspects in the accident.
