Thiruvananthapuram | The Central Meteorological Department has announced that there is a possibility of isolated rain in Kerala for the next five days. An extreme low pressure is located over Southwest Bay of Bengal. The Central Meteorological Department has warned that an extreme low pressure moving in the west-southwest direction is likely to make landfall along the Sri Lanka coast this followingnoon. As a result of this, there will be rain.

The Central Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Kerala till February 2. Along with this, immediate instructions have been given to those who went fishing from the Kerala coast to return.

The Central Meteorological Department had advised those who went fishing from the Kerala coast to return to the safe coast by yesterday as the influence of the extreme low pressure formed in the south-west Bay of Bengal is expected to reach the Kanyakumari coast. No one should go fishing from the Kerala coast until the warning changes.
