Severe Disruptions at Montparnasse Station: Delays and Outage Affecting Ouigo and Inoui TGVs

New disruptions at Montparnasse station, in Paris. Traffic on the Ouigo and Inoui TGVs was severely disrupted on Sunday followingnoon due to an electrical outage, SNCF said. If traffic were to return to normal in the morning following the incident was resolved, delays were still reported for the arrival of certain trains this Monday morning.

Sunday, according to the traffic info, delays of up to 2h40 affected trains to Quimper, Saint-Malo and Bordeaux, which were stopped at the station. Train traffic was able to resume on one track, on the Atlantique high-speed line.

The cause of these delays is “a power supply fault in Massy” (Essonne), SNCF told LCI, now counting on a resumption of traffic from 6:30 p.m. More precisely, an electrical power cable was “broken at the entrance to the tunnel”. Teams sent to the site were able to complete the repairs around 5:50 p.m.
