Rome, May 18, WAM/ The severe floods that followed two days of heavy rains over a large area of northern Italy killed at least 9 people, displaced thousands of their homes, and caused great damage.
Officials said that due to the exceptional rains since the beginning of the week, 21 out of 23 rivers in the region had burst their banks, affecting 37 municipalities.
The authorities also recorded 250 landslides.
