It had been in the air for a few days, the first citizen of the canton Séverine Evéquoz will be a candidate for the succession of Adèle Thorens at the Council of States. The environmentalist politician confirmed to us the information that had leaked within her party. She will submit her official candidacy later this week and announce it publicly on her social networks.
After having sat on the Municipal Council of Lausanne, notably chairing the Finance Commission, Séverine Evéquoz joined the Grand Council in 2017 before joining her office in 2018.
