Sex crimes: his spouse being a foster family, he could have made other victims

The Memphremagog Police Authority (RPM) is looking for potential victims of a man accused of having committed sexual contact with two minors.

Mario Brouillette, 60, was arrested on November 24 by the RPM and appeared at the Sherbrooke courthouse. However, the investigation revealed that his spouse is a lady who has acted as a foster family for twenty years.

“Given this fact, the investigators fear that he might have made other victims and invite them or any other person who can transmit information to communicate with the Régie de police de Memphrémagog, to the investigator Christian Paquin at 819-843-3334, ext. 224,” RPM said in a statement issued Friday.

The Sûreté du Québec is also participating in the investigation via the serial crime investigation management structure (GECS), since several victims have been identified.

The crimes alleged once morest Mario Brouillette would have occurred between November 2020 and August 2022. The police do not, however, exclude the fact that he might have raged over a wider period.
