A man, identified as HR Rodríguez Jiménez (69), was sentenced to 10 years and six months in prison after admitting his responsibility in the sexual violence against his 21-year-old daughter, in Maracay, Aragua state.
On February 13, 2019, the victim filed a complaint with the sub-delegation of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) of that city, in which she stated that her father sexually abused her and threatened to kill her and his mother with a knife that she hid in a vehicle.
Likewise, he argued that these events occurred since he was a minor, which is why the aggressor was arrested and placed under the order of the Public Ministry.
During the trial, representatives of the 24th Prosecutor’s Office of that jurisdiction ratified the accusation against the man for the crime of sexual violence and threats, provided for in the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Life Free of Violence.
Once the means and organs of evidence exposed by the prosecutors of the case had been evaluated and after the admission of the fact, the 1st Trial Court of Aragua handed down the aforementioned sentence against the sixty-year-old, who will remain confined in the Hombres Nuevos Penitentiary Center, located in Tocuyito, Carabobo state, reports the Public Ministry in a press release.
