Sexual harassment case against Benoy Kodiyeri settled. The complainant and Benoi filed a joint application in the Bombay High Court stating that they had reached an agreement to settle the case. The court heard the application and adjourned it to Wednesday for a detailed hearing. The court asked if it could be settled as it was a criminal case. The lawyers of the two gave conflicting answers to the question whether the two were married. The court asked if this is not an example of a dispute between the two. It is said in the application filed in the court that they are not interested in proceeding with the case because of the future of the child. It is also said that an agreement has been reached, including paying for the child’s expenses. In the complaint lodged by a woman from Bihar, Binoy Kodiyeri has alleged that he raped her with the promise of marriage and that there is a child in the relationship. The results of the DNA test to prove the child’s paternity are under consideration by the High Court.
