"Sexual Health Weeks in Brittany 2023: Diversified Prevention and Information on STIs, contraception, and sexual dysfunctions"

On the occasion of Sexual Health Weeks, from May 22 to June 18, 2023, several dozen actions are planned throughout Brittany.

For this fourth edition, Public Health France emphasizes the diversified prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the promotion of contraception, consent, and information on the existence of diseases and sexual dysfunctions. Screenings will also be organised.

Actions by department

The different events will take place over four weeks:

– From Monday 22 to Sunday 28 May: Morbihan ;

– From Monday 29 May to Sunday 4 June: Ille-et-Vilaine ;

– From Monday 5 to Sunday 11 June: Finistere ;

– From Monday 12 to Sunday 18 June: Cotes-d’Armor.

To raise awareness

These weeks of sexual health aim to raise public awareness of sexual health issues in the broad sense, according to a positive concept and through field operations.

“In 2023, the aim is to reduce the occurrence of situations degrading sexual health: STIs, unwanted pregnancies, violence, but also sexual dysfunctions (difficulty in having a relationship deemed satisfactory) and the influence of chronic diseases on sexual health,” the press release read.
