Kochi: The mastermind of the Ilantoor double murder case, Mohammad Shafi, was disgusted by the dead bodies. He gave a statement to the police that he had earlier helped the police in carrying out the dead bodies of those who fell into coke in different parts of Idukki. Years ago, he also worked in a slaughterhouse in Perunpavoor area.

He was also the one who instructed the couple Bhagwal Singh and Laila to cut the flesh of the murdered Roseli’s body and cut it into pieces. The bodies were chopped up like in an abattoir. Shafi has given a statement to the police that he was not afraid of seeing blood because he worked in a slaughterhouse.

Laila had told the police that Shafi had forced them to eat the flesh of those they killed. Although information was received in this regard, the police did not receive any evidence. Laila has also given a statement that the body was burnt on top of two pieces of wood and chopped into pieces.

Kochi City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju stated that Shafi is addicted to sexual perversion. It is reported that he had an affair with Laila. The police is also conducting an investigation to clarify this. It is also being investigated that he became close to Laila after he befriended Bhagwal Singh through a fake Facebook account named Sridevi.

Contradictions in the statements of the accused are troubling the police. The court will consider the custody application of the accused today. The police team is hoping that the accused will be taken into custody today.
