Little by little, the Barranquilla native has shared details of what is expected to be a success on all platforms and in sales. In different interviews that she has given to international media, Shakira shared details of the creative and healing process behind the album ‘Las mujeres ya no Lloran’.

In conversation with Zane Lowe for ‘Apple Music’, the singer told what the creative process was like and how it served as therapy to overcome the pain of her breakup with former soccer player Gerard Piqué.

Shakira shared deep reflections about her creative process and highlighted the role that her millions of fans around the world played in the creation of her recent album.

“I didn’t create these songs alone, I feel that my audience played an important role in the process, because while I was going through that situation they were there supporting me emotionally, giving me their comments and I saw it reflected in their own experiences (…) My friends were there. fans, every step of the way,” Shakira said.

Likewise, the award-winning singer said that with the creation of this new album she found a way to heal her wounds from separation through music.

“I heal through music and I continue to do so because it is a process. “It is the first time that I have to deal with so much as a single mother,” said Shakira, highlighting the process she has experienced after her separation. She also highlighted that the composition of her songs is a form of therapy ‘to face intense emotions and overcome personal challenges. ‘.

“When I write it is like going to the psychiatrist, but cheaper, because it helps you work with many intense emotions and feelings. I am an artist and no one is going to tell me how to heal, no one should tell a woman how to heal and lick her wounds,” added the Colombian.

“As I wrote each song, I rebuilt myself. By singing them, my tears transformed into diamonds and my vulnerability into resilience,” she pointed out.
