“Shameful position” .. Islamic countries refuse to support Uyghur Muslims at the United Nations

A video clip showing an Iraqi MP’s objections to a draft statement of Parliament sparked controversy on social networks, between those who saw her acting as an “Iranian MP”, and those who praised and defended her position.

According to a video clip posted on Twitter on Thursday, Iraqi MP Hanan Al-Fatlawi raised objections to a paragraph in a draft statement of the Arab Parliament expressing “full support for Iraq in the face of all regional interference in its internal affairs, especially the blatant Iranian interference.”

And it demanded the lifting of Iran’s name or the inclusion of all countries that interfere in Iraqi affairs, she said. It also objected to the wording related to “blocking Iraqi waters”, on the grounds that “more than one country creates dams and diverts paths”, in reference to the rivers in Iraq.

In his interview with Al-Hurra website, the political analyst, Kamel Al-Hassani, linked what he considered Al-Fatlawi’s defense and “all the elements of the coordination framework” for Iran and the internal and external pressures the regime is witnessing in Tehran.

He said, “All elements of the coordination framework, including Representative Al-Fatlawi, take advantage of every national, Arab or international occasion to defend the Iranian regime, especially with their certain feeling that they are in one boat with the survival and fall of the Qom and Tehran regimes.”

Al-Hassani believes that some Shiite leaders are involved in defending Iran to ensure protection for influence and not to be held accountable for corruption and violations.

On the other hand, Haider Al-Barzanji, head of the Alwan Center for Strategic Studies, who is close to the framework, believes that Al-Fatlawi was “right” in her objections to the drafting of the Arab Parliament’s statement, and that the objections “do not detract from her affiliation with Iraq.”

Al-Barzanji, in response to Al-Hurra’s inquiries, considered that “the drafting of the statement of the Arab Parliament targeted Iran,” stressing that some neighboring countries were “Iran and even Turkey, which sometimes have positions that support Iraq.”

Al-Barzanji pointed out that “appreciating the positive attitudes of some countries does not mean the partisanship of the deputy or whoever in Iraq towards these countries.”

Activist Ihsan Al-Jubouri, a member of the El-Teshreeniya Extension Movement, criticized the remarks of Representative Al-Fatlawi, and said that they “do not serve Iraq’s interest,” noting at the same time that her proposals “were not surprising, as she works within what is known in the country as” the coordinating framework, which is loyal to the will of Tehran. ‘, as he put it.

Al-Jubouri stressed that “the whole of the Iraqi people do not support the framework’s work, which was confirmed by the slogans of the vigils, which have always carried the slogans (Iran out of it).”

The writer Waqas al-Qadi said through his Twitter account, “Hanan al-Fatlawi defends Iran, and speaks from under the dome of the Arab Parliament building, as if she were a spokeswoman for Wilayat al-Faqih to reject, in a sarcastic manner, the parliament’s statement condemning Iran’s bombing of Erbil and cutting off the Tehran water regime from Iraq and considering it an interference in Iraq’s affairs, if not The interventions of other countries are included.

A Twitter account in the name of “Hamza”, commenting on the video of Representative Al-Fatlawi, said, “People need this logic in dialogue, and you, our heroic doctor, are the best who defended the true word for our beloved country. A woman with a thousand thousand men from this time.”

In late September, the Arab Parliament issued a statement condemning “the bombing that targeted several areas in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which resulted in a number of deaths.”

In the statement, he affirmed his “full solidarity with Iraq to achieve security and stability and preserve the sovereignty of its territories, warning of the dangers of these repercussions on regional security and the stability of the entire region.”

On September 28, the Kurdistan region of Iraq was subjected to a barrage of Iranian missiles that targeted the positions of the Iranian Kurdish organizations, resulting in 14 dead and 58 wounded, including civilians and children.
