With iOS 17.4 and tvOS 17.4, Apple will allow guests to control the music currently playing on the HomePod and Apple TV. As reported MacRumors, a new SharePlay button appears in the Music application: it displays a QR Code which can be scanned by another smartphone which can then control the broadcast, even if it is not subscribed to Apple Music. It even works with Android smartphones as long as the Apple Music app is installed.

iOS 17.4 and tvOS 17.4 are currently in beta. The arrival of the final version for the general public is expected at the very beginning of March, with important new features for iOS 17.4 for European users.
