Dubai: Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has implemented a project to add a new traffic lane to one of the main roads in Sharjah. The authority announced the change through Instagram.
The new lane has been added to Al Tawoun Street from Al Nahda Bridge to Al Tawoun Square. The road is 1 km long and 3.65 meters wide. The authority aims to increase the capacity of vehicles on the road by converting it into a total of 4 traffic lanes.
The project includes modification of entry and exit points as well as incorporation of safety buffer in existing parking areas.
