A dog was mistakenly shipped from London to Saudi Arabia, instead of being sent to its owners in Nashville, Tennessee, according to the British “Wales Online” website.
The owners of the 5-year-old dog explained that the shipping company employees put their pet on another British Airways plane, and that they remained in confusion and fear for hours before they discovered the truth.
60 hour flight
After research and investigation, the shipping company that was responsible for transporting the dog “Bluebell” discovered that the latter had arrived at Riyadh Airport, to be transported again to Heathrow Airport in London before being shipped to the United States on a journey that lasted about 60 hours with waiting stations.
The dog’s owners, Madison and James Miller, said they thought the crisis had ended with Bluebell’s safe arrival, but they discovered that the “suffering” had only just begun.
“They can’t leave the bitch”
James, 27, explains that he and his wife cannot separate their dog, who was traumatized by what happened with her, and that it caused them thousands of dollars in damage due to bouts of anxiety and anger.
The couple indicated that they had hired a veterinarian and a behavioral specialist to help treat her psychologically, explaining: “She takes anti-anxiety medicine three times a day, but we don’t know if she will return to normal .. It breaks our hearts.”
