According to the police report, the woman called the 911 emergency phone in September 2019 following noticing that her son was not breathing and by the time the toilets arrived at the house they found the minor dead, who weighed only 8 kilos and was the size of a seven-month-old baby.

The mother and her husband, Ryan Patrick O’Leary, who remains in prison awaiting trial on the same charges, told investigators that fed their children only raw vegetables and fruitsalthough Ezra was still breastfed by Sheila.

Agents discovered that the couple’s other two children, ages 3 and 5, showed signs of malnutrition. The mother and husband were arrested two months following the death of the minor.

According to the local channel WINK, the woman’s lawyer, Lee Hollander, indicated that they will appeal the verdict released in a Lee County court, and which occurs following the woman rejected an agreement with the State Attorney’s Office for who was to be sentenced to 30 years in prison.
