Sheinbaum accuses the INE of having a “personal marking” against him after measures for electoral ban The head of Government, Claudia Sheinbaumsaid that the National Electoral Institute (INE) performs a “personal marking” on his administration because the body considers “anything we report, (as if) it had to do with the electoral ban.”
“Then, I do believe that it is a personal marking because, if you carry out a review, there are other governors, other mayors, mayors, not only from the city, but from the entire country, who carry out these actions; and brings a personal branding, particularly the opposition that makes the complaints and also the National Electoral Institute”, he said to an express question.
He recognized that it is good that there is interest from the OTHER in his administration but that we will have to ask them why they pigeonhole themselves in his person.
“We are going to continue doing our job because we consider – and furthermore, we are going to challenge – because we consider that in this case, well, as in the others that we challenge, but in this particular case, it does seem to us that it is a completely part of the National Electoral Institute”, he mentioned.
He said that the INE became a “censor” of democracy, and not partial, because they do not comply with the precepts that are established in the Constitution.
“I don’t know if it was yesterday or the day before yesterday, the President of the National Electoral Institute even recorded a message where he mentions me. So the question is why doesn’t he see in other places as well? And, we are convinced that we are not violating any Law, that we are acting within the framework of Law; that the exercise of April 10 is very important, and we are going to continue informing the citizens of what has to do with the work of the City Government, complying with the issues that are established… the electoral ban”.
