Sherbrooke: a customer expelled from a bar violently attacks the manager

A client of a bar in Sherbrooke must explain himself in court on Friday because of the aggression of the manager, following being expelled from the establishment overnight.

Police were called around 2:30 a.m. regarding customers causing trouble at La Microdistillerie on Meadow Street.

When the police arrived on the scene, the problematic customers were already outside, one of whom was talking to the manager.

It was then that the suspect dealt a violent blow to the manager who collapsed, before fleeing, according to the Sherbrooke police department.

The victim was transported to a hospital to treat serious injuries which are not, however, life-threatening, according to the SPS.

Arrested for assault causing bodily harm and breach of conditions, the 35-year-old suspect who has a history of violence will appear before the judge later in the day.
