Shi Taisheng was a former Tainan City Councilor who had run three times before being elected in 1990. He served as the KMT group’s deputy secretary-general of the Tainan City Council and later represented the KMT in the Tainan City constituency as a legislator. Despite being regarded as a stand-up boy with the image of a gangster and a golden bull due to his affiliation with the “Green Gang” and “Hongmen,” Shi Taisheng was active in political and business circles and had a wide range of friends. He passed away after being hospitalized and extubated due to his illness. A public memorial service was held for him, and friends posted messages of condolence on social media.

The Tainan City Party Headquarters of the Kuomintang told reporters today that Shi Taisheng, a former party legislator, died yesterday at the age of 77.

Shi Taisheng, the second generation from other provinces, was born in Tainan Military Village in 1946. He ran for the Tainan City Councilor three times. In 1973, he ran for the Tainan City Councilor for the first time and lost. In 1982, he again lost the election. In 1990, he ran for three times before being elected. Lu, served as the deputy secretary-general of the KMT group of the Tainan City Council, and had a smooth journey. Later, he also represented the KMT in the Tainan City constituency to stand for election as a legislator. He was re-elected as a member of the second and third legislators in 1992 and 1995, but failed in re-election after 1998. , and failed to run for the 5th legislator as a non-party member.
