Dr. Mejdry Badran, a member of the Egyptian Society of Immunology and Allergy, said that the Corona virus causes long-term symptoms for some after recovery and does not cause complications for others.
Badran added, during a telephone interview to the “This Morning” program, broadcast on “Extra News”, that the differences in complications depend on age, immune status, chronic diseases, and access to vaccination.
The necessity of getting vaccinated and taking preventive measures
He stressed the need to obtain vaccination, enhance immunity and take preventive measures, because the Corona virus will continue forever, and the whole world knows this.
He pointed out that among the long-term symptoms after recovery are fatigue, joint pain, heart and digestive problems, in addition to the infection of some with diabetes after infection with Corona.
He continued, “Those who develop diabetes have a predisposition to diabetes, and with cortisone medications, opportunities are provided, in addition to formations in some patients who have immune problems that lead to diabetes.”
Corona leads to Alzheimer’s disease
He explained that some people had Alzheimer’s disease due to Corona, in addition to neurological and psychological problems, fertility problems and marital relations.
He stressed the need for citizens to receive vaccinations and booster doses, pointing out that there are new mutations that are now widespread in the world.
He pointed out that the past week witnessed 3 million and 45 thousand and 543 new injuries, while the death rate decreased in the whole world.
He stated that there are now 9 new mutants in America, due to some delays in obtaining booster doses and neglecting preventive measures.
He warned citizens against neglecting preventive measures, saying: “We must prefer to follow precautionary measures and take the booster doses, because there is a need called immune evasion, that the virus is making a new mutation.”
