Shock at the death of a former player from Cobreloa and Palestino: he lost battle against cancer

Chilean and South American football is in mourning. During the last few hours, the unfortunate death of Hugo Lusardi, a former Cobreloa and Palestino player, was confirmed.

According to the information that is handled in Paraguay, his native country, the steering wheel was in complicated health and his condition worsened in recent days. This, following being diagnosed with cancer in 2021.

It should be noted that Lusardi was playing for Club Atlético Tembetary when the disease was discovered. From then on, he began treatment to combat cancer, but the situation became more complicated over the months.

His time in Chile

Throughout his football career, Lusardi played for Cobreloa and was part of the squad that reached the final of the Clausura 2011, where the loínos lost to Universidad de Chile. The following year he went to play for Palestine.
