A mad driver caused panic yesterday (Wednesday) evening in the streets of Namur in the station district.
The driver hit several people at the wheel of his Volkswagen type vehicle, report our colleagues from Sudinfo. The incident took place at the intersection of rue Borgnet, rue Rogier and rue de Fer. Two to three people were reportedly injured in the legs.
The motorist was then attacked by the people affected and their relatives who took iron bars and pieces of wood. We still do not know the motives of the driver.
The Namur public prosecutor’s office indicates that the driver and the attackers were deprived of their liberty.
