On August 15, the journalist Jorge Becerril shared a video in which you can see the moment in which a policeman from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City, asked for a “bite” of a motorcyclist who had committed a infraction to let him continue on his way.
“I was in a hurry and wanting to get there faster I got into the Mexibus lane, don’t do it,” reads the recording taken by the same biker, in the images it can be seen that he passed two cars and left to continue circulating between the cars, and a few meters further on, a uniformed man cut him off to stop him.
Why are you coming for the inmate, friend?” Asked the police officer identified as M. Rivera Z., then the motorcyclist lied: “I got in to get some cars out. It didn’t come, I just got in and got out.” The uniformed man asked for his license, he told him that he had it pending and that he did not have the document that endorsed it.
So the one from the SSC questions him: “So what do you want to do? Your fine is $2,200 pesos.” so, resigned, the one on the motorcycle asks him to do the infraction, something that did not go down well with the element, who reprimands him.
“Do I give you the infraction and everything, everything, everything? Do you see how you are? I’m telling you that we can talk about gentlemen, brother. After delivering the ‘bite’, the policeman was friendlier: “don’t get into confinement anymore, friend, and check your license, don’t let it pass because that’s how they applied it to another compa and they didn’t give it to him anymore”.

In the publication, the SSC commented: “in relation to this video, the SSC informs that the policeman involved, who appears in the video, has already been identified and suspended from his position; the Internal Affairs Directorate carries out the corresponding investigation”.
